The Spain's Official Chamber of Commerce in China organised on 2 November in Beijing a high level ceremony for the presentation of the Chamber's Awards, award to acknowledge the work carried out by companies and institutions in the fields of trade, investment or business cooperation between Spain and China. The Chamber presented these Awards for the first time as a way of commemorating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and China.

Awards were presented in four categories: Three by Jury decision -The Dragon Business Award, The Tiger Business Award and The Spanish Institutions Award-, and one by open online vote, with all the companies that operate in China as candidates: The Open Online Vote Award.

Mondragon Group considers opening business parks in Russia and Morocco

Foreign business currently contributes an annual turnover of 3.4 billion to the Basque Group, but its executives want more, aware that future growth will come from emerging countries. Industrial estates in these markets is the formula Mondragon Corporation has chosen to facilitate the implementation of its cooperatives, as the majority of them are SMEs (more precisely, 68 out of 89 of them). Mondragon Corporation to set up an industrial estate in India

The Mondragon Corporation group, with its headquarters in the Basque Country, has announced its plans to set up an industrial estate in Pune, a city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra (India).

To date, three clients have announced their intention to set up business at the Mondragon plant: Danobat Group, that will open its production facilities in December 2011; Kide, a manufacturer of insulation panels for warehouses and industrial refrigeration units; and Fagor Industrial. Read more
