Machining large size components requires very specific skills and machines capable of ensuring maximum precision on heavy duty components, to guarantee the productivity and reliability demanded by this sector to compete on the market.

In addition to centesimal tolerances on large workpieces, which can weigh hundreds of tons, today, a machine dedicated to these types of components needs to be capable of dealing with extremely complex machining operations, reducing the number of workpiece set-ups as far as possible and likewise, cycle times and possible errors. SORALUCE F-MT multi-function milling-turning centre to showcase at EMO 2013

The SORALUCE F-MT milling-turning center will be exhibited on Hall 13 - Stand B36 of the main worldwide trade fair for metalworking technology, EMO 2013.

The F-MT milling-turning centre combines both Milling and Vertical Turning technologies in a single machine. It provides the possibility of manufacturing complex components in a single machine, offering remarkable versatility which leads to effective real time saving and associated cost savings for end users.

It integrates a flexible working area that can be configurated to  customers’ needs with one or multiple working stations with fixed tables (4000 x 1250 mm) and integrated rotary tables (Ø 1600 mm) usable for both milling and turning operations.

This Multi-Tasking machine can complete all operations in a single set-up, i.e. turning, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, etc.,  on very intricate parts for industries such as: aeronautics, energy and precision engineering for both unitary and serial production.
